Park Manager 3 Arboretum

Under the direction and supervision of the Park Director 2 (Arboretum), the selected candidate may be engaged in the performance or coordination of the following duties, tasks and/or activities at a facility primarily involved in the operation and maintenance of the 400 acre Arboretum with two greenhouses, historic mansion, rolling lawns, woodlands and nature trails. 1. Plans and supervises maintenance and operations, directs and coordinates staff (both full-time and seasonal) in the performance of the activities described including, but not limited to, maintenance of plant collections, grounds upkeep and landscaping, snow and ice control, and other tasks and/or activities as described; 2. Supervises and assists with the application of fertilizers, lime and pesticides as needed; 3. Inspects and evaluates facilities to determine necessary routine and emergency maintenance; 4. Develops budgets and schedules for maintenance and repair projects and assigns staff and materials to meet these needs; 5. Reviews and approves expenditures and prepares and administers the budget; 6. Recruits, trains, schedules, supervises and evaluates staff, including interns and volunteers and implements new recreational and educational programs and special events; 7. Assists with supervision of general operation of the park including fee collection, custodial duties, traffic control and set-up for special events. 8. Investigates and resolves patron complaints, and forwards findings to director and/or regional management; 9. Develops, implements and coordinates emergency preparedness and response procedures for patrons and employees, and documents all emergencies and expenditures; 10. Inspects concession areas to assure compliance with contractual standards for safety and health; completes required reports, notifies director of any problems and makes recommendations for correction of deficiencies found; 11. Works in partnership with friends group for the benefit of the arboretum; 12. Assists with coordination and execution of recreational events and provides evaluations of these events; 13. Conducts inventory of arboretum's needs for tools, equipment and supplies and submits recommendations to director; obtain price quotes and prepare purchase requisitions for materials and/or supplies as needed; 14. Operates light trucks, vans, passenger vehicles, tractors, landscape equipment and other small equipment as required; 15. Performs other related duties as required;

Salary Range:
From $74829 to $93491 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in botany, dendrology, horticulture, or a closely related field and four years' experience in the planning and maintenance of an arboretum, including two years in an administrative/management capacity of an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience must include the propagation, acquisition and identification of plant species, design and construction of educational materials. Master's Degree in a closely related field may be substituted for one year of experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
